Portland Car Dealer: Nissan to Debut Newly Designed 2012 Versa at New York Auto Show
The Nissan Versa is a well-designed, fuel-efficient sedan and boasts one of the lowest ticket prices in the country. As Weekly Driver reports, Nissan is poised to reveal a redesigned 2012 model of the Versa at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
While Nissan has not revealed details, one aspect they have hinted at is its edgier design. The current Versa is the only car in its class to offer a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment and it boasts an estimated 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The Versa is available in a number of trim levels and starts as low as $10,740. We’re excited to see the next incarnation and hope you are too!

Portland Car Dealer: 2011 Nissan Leaf SL Added to Fleet for Long-Term Road Test
With rising fuel costs on everyone’s mind, the push for electric cars has never been stronger. Currently, the 2011 Nissan Leaf is the most affordable all-electric car on the market. The editors at Edmunds Inside Line recently added the Leaf to the fleet for their long-term road test.
The Nissan Leaf is powered by 48 compact lithium-ion battery modules that feed an 80kW AC motor, producing 107 horsepower. The Inside Line team will test the Leaf’s driving range of 73 to 100 miles, during commuting in and around their Santa Monica location.
The Leaf is offered in two trim levels, starting with the base SV that includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, keyless ignition/entry, automatic climate control, cloth upholstery made from recycled materials, Bluetooth and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface. The crew at Inside Line received the fully loaded SL-trimmed model, which includes a spoiler-mounted solar panel, automatic headlamps, foglamps and a rearview camera.
