Portland Auto Dealer: Nissan Design Studio In Beijing To Open At Year’s End
Nissan announced plans to open a design studio in Beijing, according to an article on Gasgoo.com.
The new center is expected to open doors by years end at the earliest. The Nissan Renault alliance was established in 1999 and has opened five other design centers from Tokyo to London.
This alliance aims to bring the best designers in a region together. The design studio will cultivate a quality of life advantage with local artisans as well as experience cultural tastes and preferences firsthand. This will allow Nissan to create products for specific regions and customers needs.
About 20 designers are slated for the workshops opening roster. They will be responsible for the volume and concept models for the upcoming Nissan lines in 2012 and beyond.
