The Portlander Reports on the Nissan Leaf’s Visit to Bridgetown
ThePortlander.com, “news for Portlanders, by portlanders,” recently announced the Nissan Leaf will be marketed in Portland in 2010.
The LEAF is an all-electric, zero-emissions vehicle. The LEAF has a top speed of 90 mph and can go up to 100 miles on one charge. Only taking eight hours to recharge means the car can get ready for the road overnight.
The interior features recycled materials making the car one of the greenest on the market.
According to the report, the Portland Mayor said, “We’re working hard to create a seamless system between Eugene and Vancouver, B.C. to make sure we have charging stations through the entire I-5 Pacific Northwest,” Adams went on to say, “We’re going to have the infrastructure in place to make sure that this is a successful introduction to North America.”
